Alice P. Legan, 81, passed away in the early morning hours of June 16th, surrounded by family and friends. Alice was born in Morenci, Arizona on September 25th, 1942, however she was raised on a ranch in Duncan, AZ. During her early childhood years, she spent a lot of time with horses which created an inevitable love for them. A love that would last even up to her final days. Alice was one of 9 children. In her adult life she worked at Thompson Industries until she retired in the early 80’s after which she became a homemaker. During her retirement, she spent most of her time creating memories with her many grandchildren and great grandchildren who she adored.
When Alice wasn’t with her grandchildren, she spent most of her time cooking. She was a wonderful cook, and her dishes will be missed and always remembered by her family. She enjoyed spending her free time at the casino, playing bingo, and carrying on phone conversations with her sisters while she watched her favorite soap operas.
Alice is Survived by her three children, Arthur, Missy and Alex, her siblings Robert, Irene, Linda, and Darlene, her six grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She is proceeded in death by her parents, Linda and Eddie Islas, her husband, Rick Legan and her siblings, Ediberto Jr., Helen, Rudy, and Betty and her daughter Debbie. She was very loved and will be greatly missed.
A memorial service will be held for Alice on Saturday, July 13th 2024 at 11 o’clock at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E Indian School Rd Phoenix, AZ 85018. A Reception will immediately follow.
