Ronald G. Amodeo, resident of Scottsdale, Arizona, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Saturday, August 20, 2022, at the age of 87.
Ronald was born on February 14, 1935, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania the youngest of four children. In 1953, he graduated Peabody High School and worked the night shift at US Steel to put himself through Duquesne University where he met his wife of 62 years Mary Jane (Corrigan). Ron served in the US Army during the Berlin Crisis and went on to have a career in medical supply sales for 35 years. He was a father to seven children, grandpa to fourteen, an avid golfer, a gentleman farmer and part time master pinochle player. He loved to laugh, enjoyed all types of sports, dogs, swimming and driving his beloved 1969 Mercedes convertible.
In 2004, Ron & Mary Jane left Latrobe, Pennsylvania for warmer weather. They lived in The Villages in Florida for 15 years doing all golf related activities, hanging out with friends, and enjoying retired life. In 2019, they moved to Scottsdale to be closer to their children.
Ron is survived by his wife Mary Jane and their seven children. Christine (Amodeo) & Michael Mullen of Park City, UT; Ron & Mary Ellen Amodeo of Sacramento, CA; Richard & Wanda Amodeo of Portland, OR; Cathleen (Amodeo) & David McFarland of Daytona Beach, FL; Colleen (Amodeo) & John Limpic of Phoenix, AZ; Cynthia (Amodeo) & Anthony Berardo of Clarksburg, MD and Robert Amodeo of Phoenix, AZ as well as fourteen grandchildren.

Memorial Service to honor Ronald’s life will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2022 at 12:30 PM at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Road, Phoenix.
