Ana Marie Gonzales

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of Ana Marie Gonzales, affectionately known as Marie, on February 13, 2025, at the age of 88. Born on August 9, 1936, in Jerome, AZ, to loving parents Manuel and Aurelia Ballesteros, Marie was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings Eloy, Ted, and Ruth, and her beloved husband Samuel Gonzales. 

Marie is survived by her daughter, Carol, son-in-law Vidal, along with her cherished grandchildren (five) and great-grandchildren (nine) and son Steven. 

A woman of incredible strength, Marie dedicated 25 years of her life to Motorola. Beyond her career, those who had the privilege of knowing Marie were touched by her boundless kindness, warm spirit, and radiant smile. She had an extraordinary ability to make anyone feel welcome and loved. Her heart overflowed with affection not only for her family but also for her dogs, who brought her great joy. 

Marie’s legacy of love, warmth, and devotion will continue to inspire all who knew her. Her presence will be profoundly missed, and her absence will leave a void in the hearts of many. Rest in peace, Marie. 

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 28, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. with the Rosary starting at 6:00 p.m. at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Rd Phoenix, AZ 85018. The Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, March 1st, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home. Burial to follow at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery, 2033 N. 48th St Phoenix, AZ 85008.
