Marlene Therese Andrade, 83, of Phoenix, lost her battle with cancer Sunday February 20, 2022 in Phoenix, Arizona. Marlene was born on October 3, 1938 to the late Frank Ramona and Gertrude Lane in Cleveland, Ohio. She attended Villa Angela High School and graduated in 1956. Marlene met and married George P. Andrade of Phoenix, in 1959, where they spent their years together, until George’s death in 1991.
Marlene spent many years working with special education children at St. Matthews and Sutton Elementary Schools. Once retired, Marlene went on to work within the chiropractic field and most recently, caretaking with Seniors Helping Seniors.
Marlene is survived by Eric DeMille, and her sons Rick P. Andrade (Andrea) and George P. Andrade Jr (Maria), and her daughters Carolyn Marie Lang (Larry) and Donna Marie Andrade-Selby (Paul), her siblings Pam Hill (Larry), Ronnie Ramona, Lou Seabaugh (Bob). Also survived by her grandchildren Frank, Brittany, Zachary, Alysha, Rickelle, Mickey, Tony, Cynthia and many other family members and friends. She was predeceased by her eldest sister Peggy ie., Gertrude Margaret Andrade.
Visitation will be held from 10:00AM – 12:00PM on Sunday, February 27, 2022 with Funeral Service at 11:00AM at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Road, Phoenix. A burial will take place on Monday, February 28, 2022 at 1:00PM at Resthaven Park Mortuary & Cemetery, 4310 E. Southern Ave., Phoenix, AZ 85042.
