Jose Aros

Jose Aros, age 96, passed away at home peacefully surrendered by his 3 sons on August 18th, 2023. He was born in California and lived most of his life in Phoenix. He was a supervisor III for the City of Phoenix and retired with 35 years of service. He served his country honorably in World War II as a Merchant Marine and a sailor in the Navy. Jose is preceded in death by his parents Salvador and Magdalena Aros, sister Alice, grandson Pete “PJ” Rocha, and great granddaughter Serena Guzman. He is survived by Esther his wife of 73 years, his children, Joe R, Aros, Ernest Aros (Sylvia), Irene Perez Aros and Andy Aros (Becky) ,13 grandchildren and several great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren.

A visitation will be held at 10am with a rosary at 11:45am and funeral service to begin at Noon at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Road, Phoenix, on Thursday, August 31, 2023. Burial to follow at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery.
