David Sheridan Barela 46, of Chandler AZ, passed away on June 6, 2018. Born Sept 8, 1971, David grew up in Tempe attending Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic School then graduating from Corona Del Sol High School in 1989. David then went on to serve in the United States Marine Corps, which was his greatest honor. After serving our country, he started a career becoming a telecommunications expert working for several fortune 500 companies throughout his 25-year career eventually landing at US Foods. David loved his family, friends, and was devoted to his 4 rescue dogs. David enjoyed cruising on one of his many custom bikes, driving his sports cars, and traveling all over the U.S. to Morrissey concerts. David was incredibly generous known for helpful “I’ll take care of it” nature. He left us too young and will be deeply missed. David is survived by his father David Samora Barela, sisters Mary Ruth Mori (Andy), Jeanette Lopez (Frank), Natalie Barela (Marie) nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, numerous cousins and friends. David was preceded in death by his mother, Susana Sheridan Barela in January 2018. Visitation/Rosary on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 from 6:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Rd., Phoenix. A Funeral Mass on Thursday, June 14, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 1800 E. Libra Dr., Tempe. Honorable Military Interment will follow at St. Francis Cemetery, 2033 N. 48th St., Phoenix. Celebration of Life reception for family and friends to follow at American Legion Post 2, 2125 S. Industrial (Beck), Park Ave. in Tempe, AZ 85282.
