Our mother, Vivian N. Bejar, passed away peacefully on March 26, 2022 at the age of 85, surrounded by her loving family. A Phoenix native, she was born to parents Frank and Belen Navarro and was the middle of seven children. In 1957, she married Jaime L. Bejar and had four devoted children of her own.
If you knew Vivian, you could always catch her talking to her plants, reading novels, having weekend BBQ’s, and hosting her famous luau parties. She loved being a homemaker; was best known for her holiday baking, sewing, and crocheting. Each of her grandchildren and great grandchildren were gifted a homemade crocheted blanket by their Nana/Granny to cherish. She was a beautiful, strong, loving and fierce woman whose legacy will continue to live on for years to come.
Vivian is preceded in death by her parents Frank and Belen Navarro, her husband Jaime L. Bejar and her eldest daughter Cynthia Bejar. She is survived by her devoted children Carolyn Bejar (Tom), Jaime N. Bejar (Christine) and Michael G. Bejar (Lorie), thirteen grandchildren, twenty-three great grandchildren, one sister, many nieces and nephews. She will be missed dearly by so many but our memories with her will live on forever.
Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 AM on Thursday, April 21, 2022 at Saint Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 4715 N. Central Ave., Phoenix. Burial to follow at the VA National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N. Cave Creek Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85024. Condolences may be expressed at www.whitneymurphyfuneralhome.com
