89, a resident of Scottsdale, AZ passed away on February 12, 2017. She was born on January 14, 1928 in Madera, California to Italian immigrants Enrico and Antonietta Cortopassi. She graduated from Madera Union High School in 1945. She homesteaded in the Paradise Valley area with her husband Andrew, brother-in-law Frank Bergero and sister Anita, raising cotton and chilies and was active in the Cotton Wives club of the Arizona Cotton Growers Association. She is survived by her sister Anita Bergero, daughters Andrea Bergero of Atlanta, GA and Debra Motta (Mark) of Paradise Valley, and her two grandchildren Kelly Servick and Anthony Motta. She is preceded in death by her husband Andrew Bergero, son-in-law William Servick and brothers Louis Cortopassi and Andrew Cortopassi. Services will be held at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Rd, Phoenix, Arizona, 85018 on Sunday, February 19, 2017 at 11:30 a.m. with visitation an hour in advance.
