Billie E. Cummings

Billie E. Cummings, 98 years old, a loving father passed away during the night of January 12, 2025. He was born on September 7, 1926 in Fredonia, Kansas. Came to Phoenix, AZ at the age of 7 where he attended Creighton grade school and Phoenix Union High School then joined US Navy and served for 3 years. After that he went to work for Mountain Bell, where he stayed until retirement at the age 57.

At the age of 27 Bill met and married JoAnn M Blaine who preceded him in 2015, together they raised 2 kids David B Cummings and Wendy G Cummings (Robert Retzer). Bill was the neighborhood trouble shooter, anytime a neighbor was working on a project and needed help they came to the house to ask Bill. He always went to help. He took Dave hunting and Wendy to Horse events. He took the Family on great vacations, normally 2 weeks of driving all over the Western States. He retired, they continued their travel driving all over the United State and Canada; even went to England, Scotland and Ireland.

Visitation will be held at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home on Thursday, January 23, 2025 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM, followed by a burial at Greenwood Memorial Lawn.
