Ramona Bojorquez, 97, passed away peacefully September 12, 2021. “Ramoncita”, as she was known to family and friends, was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico, November 13, 1923. Born to Benito and Cleotilde Dimas, she was the seventh of ten children. As a young girl Ramona moved to Arizona with her family, and they settled in South Phoenix where she lived most of her life. Ramona married, had four daughters, was then widowed, remarried, and was widowed again. Cooking New Mexican food was her favorite; roasting green chilies, red chili con carne and making sopapillas. Ramoncita was devoted to praying the rosary and often prayed the novena. She is survived by her four daughters: Linda and husband Otto, Sylvia and husband Richard, Angelina and husband Ralph, Polly, and husband Manuel, also 15 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; and 21 great great grandchildren. A Funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Theresa Catholic Church with burial at St. Francis Cemetery. Due to Covid 19 restrictions the immediate family held private services.
