Eleanor Ann (McNamara) Booth, the daughter of Robert and Lillian F. (Keevan) McNamara, went to heaven, on 26 April 2022. Eleanor, who was caring and compassionate, was born in Worcester, Massachusetts. Eleanor, who once auditioned, as a teenager, for country music artists, enjoyed many things in life, but more often than not, it was the little, or simple things that pleased her. From her many pet dogs throughout her life, such as Tito, Peanuts, Freeway, Paddy Mac, Buddy, and Maggie, over the years to reading mystery novels and National Enquirer magazines, to watching her many TV shows ( such as I Love Lucy and Jeopardy), to enjoying spending time with Jennifer. Eleanor primarily worked waitressing (including Carrows, Hobo Joe’s, and Woolworth’s) but also included stints in Worcester as a coroner medical records clerk and a WPD police dispatcher). She attended Quinsigamond Community College.
Eleanor is survived by her son, Michael Booth and his wife, Jennifer. Her daughter, Debbie, passed in 2009. Her grandchildren included Patrick Booth, Nicole Booth, and JoJo Woods. Eleanor, whose Great-grandfather Martin McNamara had migrated from County Claire, Ireland in 1862, had four siblings that included Roberta (Macaruso), Patricia (Daniels), Martin, and Bob. Her grandparents, William E. and Mabel F. (Lynch) Keevan, as were her siblings, were all born in Worcester.
Eleanor’s services were held at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Phoenix, Az., and she was laid to rest at St. Francis Cemetery. She is loved and will be missed by all! Condolences may be expressed at www.whitneymurphyfuneralhome.com
