Brian Francis Burch

Brian Francis Burch passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, at his home on Tuesday, June 4, 2024. He was born August 11, 1954.  

He was preceded in death by his parents, Darrel and Elizabeth Burch, father-in-law Lendell Sherrick, siblings, Martin, Peter, Darrel and Catherine, and son-in-law Edward McHale. 

He is survived by his wife Beverly, mother-in-law Martha Sherrick, siblings John, Carol Fahrendorf (Chris), Mary Clucas (Craig), Paul (Carol), Ron (Michelle), Chris (Elizabeth), and Daniel (Carolyn), and six children, Brian (Sara), Patrick (Mary), Christine McHale, Peter (Emily), Alexander (Mary Brigid), and Emily. 

He is also survived by his grandchildren: Peter, Martin (Therese), Bridget, Raphael, Therese, Charlotte, John Paul, Mary Hope, Luke, Lucy, Samuel, George, Finnian, Ruby, Declan, Benedict, Dorothy, Michael, Grace, Evangeline, Frances, Martha, Gabrielle, Sebastian, Peter (Rocky), Theodore, Elisabeth, Julia, Josephine, and Una.

Brian was best known for his devotion to his wife, six children, 30 grandchildren and his Catholic faith. A successful real estate entrepreneur, Brian was exemplary with both his time and generosity, especially to the Catholic church, the poor and needy, schools, and causes. His competitive spirit, jokes, political opinions, and story-telling meant life with him was never dull.  He lived life to the full and loved deeply.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 13, from 5-7 PM at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, at 2312 E. Campbell Avenue, in Phoenix. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Friday, June 14 at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. Burial will immediately follow at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery, 2033 N. 48th St., in Phoenix. A reception following the burial will be held at the Arizona Biltmore Golf Club. All are welcome.
