George M. Brown

George M. Brown, born in Blythe, California on May 24, 1938, went to meet his Lord on January 23, 2017 in Mesa, Arizona. George lived most of his life in Mesa, he worked for the Magma Copper Mine in Superior, Arizona until his retirement in 1982. He was then employed by the Mesa Public Schools in the transportation department until recently, when his health began to fail. George is preceded in death by his parents, Marlin and Ruth Brown, and his first wife Peggy C. Brown. He is survived by their children; Carrie (Greg) Robbins of Tempe, Arizona, Jeff (Toni) Brown of Payson, Arizona, and Beth (Nathan) Leonard of Edmond, Oklahoma, as well as his second wife Trish Brown and their daughters; Jessica Brown of Mesa, Arizona, and Rachel Brown of Mesa, Arizona. His legacy continues through the 10 grandchildren and 5 great- granddaughters he leaves behind. Visitation will be held at 3:30 p.m., with a Funeral Mass to follow at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, January 29, 2017 at St. Ignatius Antiochian Orthodox Church, 5515 E. Redmond Circle, Mesa, Arizona 85215. Interment will be held at 1:30 p.m., Monday, January 30, 2017, at the Mesa City Cemetery, 1212 N. Center Street, Mesa, Arizona 85201.
