Juanita M. Brown, 85, of Surprise, AZ passed peacefully on May 9, 2017. She was born in Chicago, Illinois on July 24, 1931 to Jack Miller and Johnetta Sasseen. She worked for the State of Illinois beginning at a young age, and retired after more than 20 years. Juanita moved to Arizona in 1989 to follow her family where she loved to be involved in church functions, minister to people, spend time with her family/friends and volunteer her time whenever she could. She was a very spiritual woman and loved to quote scriptures and uplift others in the Lord. She was preceded in death by her son James L. Miller and grandson, Andre Miller. Juanita is survived by her granddaughters Tiffany of Buckeye, AZ and Tanya of Glendale, AZ and their spouses, daughter in law, Cheryl of Scottsdale, 8 great grandchildren, 2 great, great grandchildren and 1 great, great grandchild on the way. She will be missed greatly by a number of other friends and family. Visitation will be Saturday, May 20, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. with a Funeral Service at 11:00 A.M. at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Road, Phoenix.
