Kenneth B. Brown

On Monday, May 29, 2023 Kenneth B. Brown, 85 years, loving husband, and father of six children passed away. He was born October 20, 1937 in Henrietta, Oklahoma, to Jack and Ruby Brown. Ken was the youngest of five children.

He worked with his dad on the farm and worked a short stint in the Air Force. He was a lineman most of his adult life. Ken worked for S.D.G. & E., in San Diego, CA and retired after 31 years. He moved to Phoenix, AZ in 2000. On February 4, 1957, he married Virginia “Dolly” Northrod, and they had four sons; Ken Jr, Rodney, Keith, Tracy, and later two daughters; Keneen and Kenya.

Ken loved to square dance and was a great “yellow rocker” and hugger. He had the bluest eyes that twinkled, and infectious smile, and a kind compassionate spirit.

Ken was preceded in death by his father and mother; Jack & Ruby Brown, two brothers; Bill and Gene, two sisters; Ruth and Betty, one son; Keith and one grandchild; Amber, and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews.

He is survived by his loving wife, Virginia “Dolly” Brown; sons, Ken Jr, Rodney, Tracy; daughters, Keneen and Kenya; six grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and several cousins.

A visitation will be held on Monday, June 5, 2023 from 5-7pm with rosary prayers at 6pm at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Road, Phoenix. Mass to be held on Tuesday, June 6, 2023 at 10am at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 1954 N. 24th Street in Phoenix. Burial to follow at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery.
