Elizabeth Ann Caggiano, formerly known as Betty Ann Hahn or Betty Rasa, age 91, went home to her Eternal Reward on May 14, 2022 at 6:30 PM, at Fairmont Villages in Peoria, Arizona. Betty was born September 5, 1930 in Paterson, NJ, the daughter of the late William and Mary Hahn. Betty has 4 siblings: Margaret, Alice, William, and Mary Jane; one sibling survives her, Mary Jane Saia of NJ. Betty lived in Arizona for the past 33 years and was most recently a resident at Fairmont Villages Memory Assisted Living Center, and previously lived at Fellowship Square and the Oasis Assisted Living in Mesa, AZ. She is survived by her loving 6 adult children: Elizabeth M. Dolan and her husband James I. Dolan, Paul R. Rasa and his wife Karen S. Rasa, Ava Dasya Rasa, Jeffrey W. Rasa and his wife Claudia J. Rasa, Michael Rasa and his wife Debbie S. Rasa, and Robert P. Rasa and his husband J. Antonio Casian. She has 8 devoted grandchildren: Tricia L. Fitzpatrick Rodenroth, Brad M. Rasa, Stephen P. Rasa, Matthew J. Dolan, Alissa M. Dolan, Lindsey N. Wright, Jessica M. Young, and Jess L. Post; and her blessed 12 great grandchildren: Maci L. Fitzpatrick, Sloane M. Rasa, Quinn N. Rasa, Everly N. Rasa, Ensley M. Rasa, Sawyer M. Wright, Jude R. Wright, Ruthie E. Wright, Isaac A. Young, Amelia Sue Young, Brayden L. Post, and June Elizabeth McHenry. And, 15 furry grandkids! Betty’s husband of 30 years, Frank Caggiano, predeceased her in August 2017.

Betty was known for her lively spunk and spirit. She was an Ambassador at the Oasis, offering hospitality to newcomers in the facility. She participated in numerous community activities, including: Bingo, line dancing, balance classes, and Catholic faith and worship opportunities. She loved dancing and country music! Her laughter filled a room and her big smile brought cheer to all. Betty welcomed people from all walks of life with open-hearted hospitality and visible kindness. Betty had a special charitable concern for children who experience food insecurity and children suffering from terminal illnesses. She survived many hardships in this life and still found joy in the simplest of pleasures, such as monarch butterflies, hummingbirds at her feeder, the sound of the ocean lapping the beach, and sunsets and sunrises. Betty had a heart of service, always offering a helping hand to anyone in need. Betty suffered intensely in her final weeks and months on this earth, until the holy angels and Mother Mary guided her to her heavenly home to be with Jesus, her Lord, where she is now reunited with her loved ones. She will be deeply and forever missed by her entire family and friends–and all her knew and loved her. May you rest in peace dear Mother. May perpetual light shine upon you, Gratefully, your loving family.
