Kathy Campanella was born in Brooklyn, New York on November 5, 1930 to Thomas and Catherine McBarron. She grew up on Long Island and graduated from Queens College with a degree in Industrial Psychology. She worked as an Engineering Aide at Sperry Gyroscope Company until her first child was born. She then put all her energies into her family and was a great wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and homemaker. Kathy was a devoted Catholic who was active in her parish and her children’s schools. She was involved in the Sodality at Most Holy Trinity for many years. She supported Catholic education throughout her life, and in her death continues to make it possible for many children to attend Catholic High Schools who otherwise may not have the opportunity to do so through the Kathy Campanella Scholarship Fund. Kathy was a loving, selfless, and generous woman. She left this world surrounded by her legacy: the love of her family. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Kathy is survived by her husband of 57 years, Joseph, her six children, Karen Sechena, Denise Campanella, Noreen Cravener, Michele Calebaugh, Brian Campanella, and Renee Beyer.
