Carol R. Hall

December 2, 1942 — August 9, 2024

Phoenix

Carol Hall, a beautiful wife, mother and friend, passed away on August 9, 2024.

Carol was an enigma – from teacher (to the chagrin of her children) to artist to volunteer in the community – she had both a structured view and inspirational vision of what you can do as a person.

She and Ed, her husband of more than 50 years, met early on. They attended rival elementary schools in Illinois, then both attended Northwestern University. They later moved to Arizona. Carol was a beach person, so they spent many holidays, weekends and vacations on the Pacific coast.

She had a quirky side. As a ceramist, she made amazing pieces that brought back to life all of the family pets. As a volunteer, she was well-known for her research at the world class Ceramic Research Center at ASU.

She was a foodie but not a chef. Our family spent many nights eating out enjoying the restaurants in the Phoenix area. As a note, she also drove, giggling all the way, our dogs through McDonalds to get French fries. A special treat.

Carol was known for her handwritten notes and personal attention. She will always be remembered as someone who took the time, cared, who was there and who had the art of making you feel like the most important person in the room.

Ed predeceased Carol in 2020. She is survived by her brother Clark Rose and sister Nell Ray, her daughter Heather Beshears (John) and son, Eric Hall (Sejal and grandson Ayan), and many nieces, nephews.
