Charlene Ann Sadik

It is with profound sadness that the family of Charlene Ann Sadik from Phoenix, Arizona, announce her peaceful passing on November 23, 2024, at the age of 80. She was born in Long Beach, California to Charles Gibbons and Bernadette Schantz.

She was a loving and devoted sister, mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her son Brent (Dawn) Sadik. She is survived by her daughter Deanna "DeeDee" (Peter) Gonzales and her brother Gary (Joyce) Gibbons and nephew Mark Gibbons. She had 6 grandchildren, Brianna, Marissa, Peter, Jonas, Joshua and Bella and 5 great grandchildren, Kaison, Kash, Peter James, Wrenly and Addison

Charlene had a zest for life and her family meant everything to her. She worked as waitress in Phoenix and after her retirement she spent her time babysitting and taking care of her own mother until she passed, as well as her son Brent before his untimely death She loved taking care of her family and friends and was always ready to step up and help in any way she could. She loved going to the movies, road trips, going out to eat and especially going to the casino. She was a lot of fun to be around and had a sassy way about her and a great sense of humor that everyone loved. She was so proud of her family and knew how blessed she was. She struggled with many health issues over the years and fought with everything that she had to keep going. She had grit and a strong will to live. She was a woman of great strength and passion. May she rest in peace with our Lord and Blessed Mother.

Mass will be celebrated on Monday, December 16th at 10am at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 1954 N 24th St, Phoenix Arizona 85008.
