Ronald Joseph Christen

Ronald (Ron) Christen 80, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 27, 2017. Ron was born February 12, 1937 in Cincinnati, OH. Ron is survived by his wife Sandra of 58 years. Daughters; Vicki Beberness and Cathy Ashford, and his son; Ronald Thomas (Tom) Christen. Five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Ron was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother & friend to all. He will be deeply missed. Ron was in the Navy a short time with a medical discharge. He was a paint contractor and all around handyman. There wasn’t a thing he could not repair. He enjoyed many years at his cabin in Forest Lakes, AZ, fishing, hunting, riding quads, snowmobiles, wood working, gardening and spending times with family and friends. A Celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at noon at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Rd. Phoenix, AZ, 85018. Immediately following the service please stay and join the family for lunch and refreshments. Please come as you are and celebrate this wonderful man. In Lieu of flowers donations will be accepted to benefit needy children at Christmas time.
