Lois Ruth Cochrane

Lois Ruth Cochrane, beloved wife of the late, Robert Henry Cochrane, was born February 20, 1922 in Buffalo, NY. Lois departed this earth on January 31, 2023 in Show Low, AZ. She leaves behind a son, Robert Craig Cochrane, a granddaughter Erin Leach, great grandson Korbin Leach, great-great grandson Jameson Leach, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and so many more relatives and friends.

Bob and Lois moved from Buffalo, NY to Phoenix, AZ in 1959. Lois spent many years in the insurance industry as an underwriter and office manager. In the 1970’s she took over the office duties including accounting and payroll of her husband’s Exxon Service Station. After her husband’s passing in 1990 she became the office manager for the family physician until she finally retired in the early 2000’s.

She and her husband were caring and loving people – always willing to help those who were going through rough times. They were mentors and parents to so many young men and women trying to guide them on the right path through life.

As Lois’ health began to decline in 2016, her son decided to find someplace where he could take care of her, that was less of a rat race and more financially feasible for them. In 2019, when Lois was unable to care for herself, she and her son moved to Show Low, AZ, where they lived quietly and modestly until her passing. She will be truly missed and loved by so many.

A Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M., on Monday, February 6, 2023 at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Rd., in Phoenix. A Graveside Service will be held the following day at 12:30 P.M., Tuesday, February 7, 2023, at Green Acres Cemetery, 401 N.
