Elisena “Cindy” Cruz

Our beloved Mother, Elisena “Cindy” Cruz sadly passed away on August 19th at the age of 93. She was dearly loved and will be missed terribly. Cindy was a long-time member of the Catholic church where she loved to sing in her Choir. Her passion for reading was her true joy. As we celebrate her life, we honor the legacy of a woman whose love was unwavering, and presence enriched the lives of all she touched.

Cindy is predeceased by her husband Fred and daughter Susan Cruz. She is survived by daughters, Maggie Zombro, Sally Cruz, Gloria Contreras Chavez, Lisa Cruz, Joanne Mease, Rebecca Mendoza and her only son Frank Cruz. She was blessed to have numerous grand, great grand and great great grandchildren. She also has two surviving sisters, Margaret Judd and Gloria Delgado.

Monday, August 28, 2023 a visitation will be held at 9AM with rosary prayers recited at 9:40AM and Mass to be celebrated at 10AM at Saint Mary’s Basilica, 231 N. 3rd Street in Phoenix. Elisena will be laid to rest at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery immediately following the church services.
