James Edward Curran passed away on July 16, 2014 at the age of 80. Jim was born July 3, 1934 to Dr. James H. Curran and Myrtle Curran. He grew up in Sleepy Eye, MN where he met his wife of 57 years, Audrey Curran. He attended Creighton University and eventually moved out west with Audrey to attend the University of Arizona Law School. He moved to Phoenix in 1961 to work as a prosecutor for the City of Phoenix. Jim was a practicing lawyer in downtown Phoenix for roughly 50 years in his own practice. He retired from the practice of law in 2010. With Audrey, Jim traveled the world over and over enjoying Ireland as his favorite travel destination. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. In his retirement, he enjoyed nothing more than spending time with his grandchildren and watching them grow up. He is survived by his wife Audrey, sons Jim (Carrie), Mike (Lauri), his grandchildren Keegan, Maggie, Emma, Michael and Daniel and his sisters Kathleen Douglass and Patricia Warren. He is also survived by many loving friends. The family is planning a private celebration of Jim’s wonderful life.
