Sr. Bernard Francis Dalton

Bernard “Bernie” F. Dalton Sr. passed away peacefully on July 15, 2023. Bernard was born October 6, 1943 in Phoenix Arizona to Ruth and Michael Dalton. Bernard attended St. Agnes school and North High School.

After high school Bernard was in the US Army from 1966 to 1968 where he was stationed in Germany.

December 6, 1968, Bernard married Shirley Moore Dalton and were married for nearly 54 years. Bernard and Shirley had three children Bernard Jr, Bob, and Kim.

Bernard worked with his father Michael at Daltons Mobile station for twenty years. Bernard loved talking to people and was very good at holding long conversations with people he knew for years and some he had never met before.

Bernard then worked for John Uniforms for twenty-five years selling uniforms to law enforcement officers where he made many friends and loved talking with the officers. Some of which he would know their entire careers.

Bernard loved camping and fishing with his kids and grandkids in the White Mountains, going on cruises with his wife, family, and friends. They cruised to many parts of the world where he would always be sure to buy a hat from every place they went.

Bernard is survived by his wife of 54 years, Shirley; sons Bernie (Christine), Bob (Jen); daughter Kim Gregorovic (Mike); brothers Michael (Sue), Terry (Colleen); sister Maureen; twelve grandchildren Daniel, Stephanie (Cody), Jacob, Andrew, Jennah, Logan, Samuel, Noah, Christopher, Mikey, Jackson, and Aliyah; four greatgrandchildren Michael, Nicholas, Emma, and Liam. He was preceded in death by his father Michael and his mother Ruth.

Memorial service will be held on Friday, August 25, 2023 from 1PM to 4PM at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Road, Phoenix. Condolences may be expressed at www.whitneymurphyfuneralhome.com.
