Mary passed away peacefully with family by her side in her son’s home in Connecticut on September 22, 2021. She was born in Nogales, Arizona to Thomas Doyle and Marina Carrillo, the fourth of eight children: Nachita, Daniel, Louis, Michael, Yolanda, Patrick and John. She graduated from Tucson Salpointe and Seton Hill College. Mary was a woman who loved the Lord deeply and felt the intensity of His calling in various forms. After being a nun for 12 years, she moved back to Arizona and served as a teacher for over a decade until she found her last vocation as a massage and colon therapist, ministering to people in pain and bringing health and healing to their lives.
Her kindness, wisdom and authenticity was felt by anyone who crossed her path. She is preceded in death by her husband Joseph Dewane, the father of her children Carlos Bartning, and her sister Nachita. Besides her five surviving brothers and one sister, survivors include her children, Joseph (Janeen) and Augustine (Judith), and her grandchildren Jacob, Romabella and Augustine.
