Phoenix – Michael A. DiMarco, 75, of Phoenix, AZ, passed away peacefully on January 8, 2022, with his loving family at his side. He was born in Mason City, IA on May 20, 1946 where he lived until he later moved to AZ and attended ASU, graduating with a degree in Business Information Technology. He worked for the State of AZ both for ADOT and the AZ State Supreme Court for a total of 45 years.
Michael and Nancy loved to travel, their favorite destinations being Europe and their getaway home in Flagstaff. Michael was extremely loyal to his family, always spending quality time with his grandchildren. His memory and legacy lives on with his loving family and friends.
Michael was preceded in death by his infant son, Joseph Matthew, and his mother Shirley Reaume. He is survived by his devoted wife Nancy, married over 44 years, and his twin daughters Kimberly DiMarco (Tim Prunotto) and their five children, Avery, Isabella, Seth, Lukas and Allyson, and Kristin DiMirez (Javi) and their two children Oliver and Theodore. He is also survived by his father Gus DiMarco, Iowa.
A visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, Thursday, January 20, 2022 at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Rd. Words of Remembrance will be at 10:15 AM with the Funeral Mass celebrated at 10:30 AM, on Friday, January 21, 2022 at St. Theresa Catholic Church, 5045 E. Thomas Rd, Phoenix.
