Donna L Ehmann passed away on July 24, 2024, at the age of 55 while visiting one of her favorite places to vacation, Huntington Beach, CA.
She was born to Tom and Twyla Burton in Phoenix, Arizona on February 28th, 1969. They were wonderful parents who instilled great values in her. Being the first-born allowed Donna to be around many babies (her 3 younger siblings) from a very young age. Her love for babies became very apparent. At 6 years old she could rock her baby brothers to sleep. At age 11 her sister was a real live baby doll; she even sewed a dress for her. She was a wonderful daughter and helper from beginning to end.
Donna was a highly successful businesswoman who made everybody she worked with feel as if they were family. She was able to create a lifelong career based on one of her greatest loves, which was… Dogs. She was a true animal lover, who rescued many animals and gave all her pets the best lives imaginable.
Rob and Donna’s personalities balanced each other so perfectly; it allowed them to be their most radiant and inspiring selves. They had great fun raising their children together and it really showed. Some of their favorite things to do were spending time as a family at the beach and the forest.
Donna was an extraordinarily devoted mother to Molly, Isabelle, and Jack. They were her world, and that love NEVER dwindled. She was overjoyed to welcome a new son, Jamie Swirtz, to the family in 2023. Having grandchildren (twins) just filled her heart and life with love and joy. She was obsessed with her babies, soaking up all the love possible.
Most importantly she was the foundation of her family. She will be missed dearly and never forgotten. She is survived by Robert Allen Ehmann, her husband of 29 years, their three children, Molly, Isabelle (Jamie Swirtz), and Jack, grandchildren- Zane and Nash Swirtz, her mother Twyla Burton and her siblings, David, Daniel (Jenny), and Diane (Steve) as well as her mother in law Alice Ehmann and the extended Ehmann family. She is also survived by her beloved dogs, Lolo, Cabot, and Fiona. She was preceded in death by her father Tom Burton, father-in-law Anthony Ehmann, and her sister Peggy.
The family is holding a private funeral service but there will a celebration of life in September and details will be coming soon. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Mary’s Food Bank or the Salvation Army.
