Edith Jean Packer

SURPRISE, ARIZONA -Edith Jean Packer, 89, passed away on Thursday, October 3rd, 2024, peacefully at home. She was wife to the late Malcolm John Packer. Daughter to the late Moses Mayo and Edith Belle Hanscom. Edith was the youngest of 9 siblings. Also, mother to Michael Packer, Francis Packer, Jeffrey Packer and Faith Bouffard and late Lawrence Packer, Matthew Packer, and Margaret Boss. Also leaves behind grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.

Edith was last employed at Pleasant Manor Nursing Home in the laundry room. She was always taking extra time to make the patients comfortable and always bringing work home. That work was sewing closed the holes in their clothes. 

She also enjoyed spending holidays, birthdays and extra time with family and friends. After retiring, she enjoyed Sunday Mass, word searches, sewing and coloring. In addition, her love, caring heart and generosity is going to be deeply missed.

Edith is going to be laid to rest at Cedar Hill Knoll Cemetery in East Taunton, Massachusetts beside her beloved husband on Tuesday, November 12, 2024.
