Edward A. Blaufuss “flew West” on February 23, 2025. He was born in Somerville N.J. May 17, 1938, and graduated from Rutgers in 1960 with a BS in Planning Engineering. After being commissioned in the United States Air Force he earned his wings at Willams AFB AZ. He served 7 years in the service and flew combat missions in Vietnam. Upon leaving the service, he was hired as a pilot with American Airlines until his retirement in 1998 after a 31-year career. He is survived by his wife Madeline, his sister Kay, five children, Wendy, Scott, Wade, John, Paul, nine grandchildren, and one great grandchild. A memorial service will be held in Phoenix, AZ at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Road, Phoenix, AZ 85018, starting at 12 noon on Wednesday, March 12th. A military burial ceremony will follow at the National Memorial Cemetery, 23029 N. Cave Creek Road, Phoenix, AZ 85024, at 2PM.
