Edward L. James "Ed" passed away peacefully on May 7, 2024 after a brief illness.

Ed was born in Norfolk, VA on February 20, 1945 to parents Charles T. and Edra (Waldeck) James.  He spent his early years in New Castle, PA and graduated from New Castle High School where he earned nine Varsity letters in multiple sports.  In recognition of such, in 1993 he was inducted into the Lawrence County Sports Hall of Fame.

He attended the University of Pittsburgh on a football scholarship where he played quarterback.  Ed graduated in 1967 with a Bachelors degree in Economics.  Immediately after graduating, Ed joined the Army Reserves serving for five years.

Ed moved to Phoenix, AZ in the late 60’s and considered this his home town.  In his professional life he worked as a stock broker, investment advisor, and financial and marketing consultant to numerous start-up companies.   He enjoyed playing golf, and especially loved traveling to Europe, in particular Blanes, Spain, his favorite spot. In his later years, he enjoyed watching his grandchildren play in sporting events.
