John Hanlon Faulds

85, of Phoenix, passed away peacefully on April 25, 2016.  John was born on February 8, 1931 in Cleveland, Ohio, to Sarah and John Faulds.  John graduated from Shaw High School and Kent State University. John served in the US Army and was stationed in Germany. He received a Master of Public Health degree from Tulane University School of Medicine.  Following his graduation, John began a long career in Public Health. He retired from the Maricopa County Health Department as Chief, Bureau of General Sanitation in 1990.  John married Iva Knight Rush on January 21, 1956.  John and Iva celebrated their 60th anniversary this year. John was a lifelong outdoorsman that loved hunting and camping.  They had two children, John Gray and Ann Elizabeth.  He is survived by sister Betty Kimbrough and children John; Ann Callan (Jim): and stepson Malcolm Rush (Janet).  Funeral Service will be at 10:00 AM, Saturday, May 7, 2016 at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Road, Phoenix.
