Frances Mendoza Sanchez

78, of Phoenix, passed away on July 21, 2016 in Phoenix, AZ, surrounded by her loved ones. Frances was born on May 22, 1938 in Phoenix. She was preceded in death by her husband Paul Valdez Sanchez. Frances is survived by her seven children; Deborah Hernandez (Victor), Yvonne Meehan, Paul Sanchez, Frank Sanchez, Stephanie Pickthall (Gene), Ron Sanchez (Lizette) and Jason Sanchez. She was the grandmother of nineteen grandchildren; Damon Sanchez (Allison), Christopher Faddis (Jennifer), Jacob Sanchez, Joshua Sanchez, Gregory Hernandez, Ryan Meehan, Selyn Hernandez, James Meehan, Loren Hernandez, Justin Meehan, Andrew Tapia, Anthony Tapia, Micah Meehan, Mara Meehan, Juanita Frances Pickthall, Mikaela Sanchez, Karina Sanchez, Josh Pickthall, Becky Pickthall and five great grandchildren; Gianna Faddis, Augustine Faddis, Knox Sanchez, Abram Sanchez and Maximilian Faddis. Frances is survived by five sisters and one brother; Irene Figueroa, Susie Thomas, Rosie Jean Riddley, Nellie Flores, Diana Cordova and David Cordova. She graduated from Phoenix Union High School in 1957. She worked at Motorola for over 30 years. Frances will be remembered as a woman of faith in God and dedication to the Blessed Virgin Mary. She was a proud and loving mother, grandmother and friend. She was vibrant and devoted to her family. She will be missed by all who knew her. A viewing will be held Saturday, July 30, 2016 from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., with a recitation of the Holy Rosary at 10:00 a.m., and Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 4715 N.
