Guadalupe “Lupe” Carmen Garcia
Guadalupe “Lupe” Carmen Garcia, 78 of Phoenix, passed away on December 28, 2021. Lupe was born on May 17, 1943 in Phoenix, AZ.
Lupe had a longtime career with the State of Arizona Department of Health Services and Attorney General’s Office. She loved to play softball in her younger days and enjoyed singing and dancing to country music and a good cumbia.
She was preceded in death by her parents Lionel V. and Lupe Quihuis, her brother David and sisters in law Della and Susan. She is survived by her sisters Marie (Umberto) Mendia, Francis (Henry) Serrano, her brothers Lionel Quihuis, George (Betty) Quihuis, Pete Quihuis, Fred Quihuis and Mark (Sharien) Quihuis. Lupe was a loving aunt to numerous nieces, nephews, godchildren and friends, who commonly referred to her as “Tia Shorty”. She will be deeply missed.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, January 27, 2022 at 10:00 am with Rosary beginning at 10:30 am at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Road, Phoenix, AZ 85018. Interment will be at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery 2033 N 48th Street, Phoenix, AZ 85008 immediately following.
Masks are required for guests.
