Vivian A Strabala Gauthier

Born, June 4, 1911 in Riverside, Iowa, passed away March 10, 2013 in Mesa, Arizona.  Born to Charles and Agnes (Schnoebelen) Strabala.  Married Orville Gauthier February 25, 1944 and worked as a rural school teacher in Iowa, volunteered with the USO during WWII and spent many years as a supervisor at the Arizona Employment Commission.  Preceded in death by five brothers, Edward, Omer, John, Victor and Cecil and by her husband Orville and son Henry.  Survived by daughter-in-law, Joan from Portland, OR, granddaughter Laura and great-granddaughter Lillian of Pendleton, OR, granddaughter Anne and great-granddaughter Kayla, and 24 nieces and nephews.  Vivian was a lifelong member of St. Agnes Catholic Church.  Visitation will be held from 6-8pm with a Rosary at 7pm Friday, March 15 at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Road, Phoenix.  Funeral Mass will take place at 10:30am, Saturday, March 16, at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 1954 N. 24

Street. Interment will follow at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers family suggests a donation to St. Vincent de Paul Food Bank, P O Box 13600, Phx., AZ 85002.
