Judy Hartnett Geis

Phoenix, Judy Hartnett Geis, 90 passed away Monday December 14, 2020. She died peacefully at home with her family by her side.

Judy was born January 17, 1930 in Dayton, Ohio. She moved to Phoenix in 1953, shortly after marrying her husband Jack Geis. Together they raised 4 children.

Judy was involved in her community. She was active in The Visiting Nurse Service, the Recording the Blind and The Junior League. She also loved spending time with friends playing golf and bridge.

Although Judy enjoyed outside activities, her family always remained the center of her world. From children to grandchildren to great grandchildren her eyes would light up around her family. She was an amazing loving mother and will be missed terribly.

Judy was proceeded in death by her mother and father Jim and Margaret Harnett, her husband Jack Geis and eldest son David.

Judy leaves behind a sister Lynn Hoban, 3 children Peter (Rebecca) Stephanie (Eric) and Matt. 4 grandchildren Jennifer (Jonathan), Adam, Kevin and Kyle and 2 great grandchildren Jack and Ellie.

The family is especially grateful to Sandi Gardiner who lovingly cared for Judy the last 10 years. Sandi’s dedication allowed Judy to remain at home, one of her wishes.

A private family service will be held in the future.
