Josephine E. Gilbrech nee Canney died as she lived, quietly, gently and with a smile for each person with whom she came into contact. She was proud of her Iowa roots and Arizona home where she lived for more than 64 years. She was deeply loved by her extended family, the daughter-in-law she always treated as her own child, and the grandchildren and great-children on whom she lavished so much attention. Her loss will also be mourned by the children to which she was a pseudo-grandmother and who called her Grammy and all the long-time neighbors who were so kind to her in the last years of her life. She finally is wrapped in the embrace of her late son, Earl P. Gilbrech, who treasured every minute he had to spend with her, and her husband Perry T. Gilbrech, who was her childhood sweetheart. Her life will be celebrated at a Memorial Mass at Brophy Chapel, Saturday, October 19
