Irma Garcia Gilmore

Irma G. Gilmore, R.N., 72, was called to heaven on August 12, 2018. Irma was born on March 19, 1946 in Phoenix, AZ to Henry M. Garcia and Margaret Pena Flores. She received her nursing degree from Phoenix College and spent 40+ years caring for others at Good Samaritan Hospital. Nursing was her true calling. Her passion was crochet and cross-stitch. She was masterful in her craft and loved to create. Irma was a giving and caring person who loved her family and her profession. She is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Henry Garcia, Jr. and David Martinez. Irma is survived by her brother Alfred; daughters Michelle and Tammy; granddaughter Tarryn; and grandsons Ryan and Matthew.

Visitation will be held on Monday, August 20, 2018 from 5:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. with a Rosary at 7:00 P.M. at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Rd., Phoenix.  Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at 10:00 A.M., at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 909 S. 1st Ave, Phoenix. Burial to follow at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery, 2033 N. 48th St., Phoenix.  Condolences may be expressed at
