Paul U. Godinez
Paul U. Godinez passed away with family at his side on March 18, 2023, at the age of 87.
Paul leaves behind the love of his life, Mary Rose (Fimbres) Godinez, with whom he had two children: Bernadette Elaine (John) Godinez and Paul Dominic (Dawn) Godinez. Known as a loving and patient dad, tata, tio, brother, and friend; he also leaves behind four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, sisters Rachel Calderon and Maxine Bown, and brother Albert Godinez.
Paul dedicated 38 years to the Arizona Army National Guard and retired as a Chief Warrant Officer 2 in 1990.
Paul was the happiest when music was playing or when surrounded by his family. He always had a smile on his face, a Budweiser in his hand, and arms open for the best hugs.
A Mass celebration will be held on Thursday, March 30, 2023 at 10 AM at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 6401 S Central Avenue in Phoenix. Burial to follow at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery, 2033 N 48th Street, Phoenix.
