Valentin E. Gomez

Valentin E. Gómez was born in Atengo, Jalisco, México on March 16, 1928 and was received by the Lord on January 18, 2016 in Phoenix, AZ where he resided since 1955. He lives on through his beloved wife Erminia Gómez, whom he was married to for 60 years. He was a devoted father to his daughter, Ruth Alcalá and is survived by his son-in-law Salvador Alcalá, grandchildren Steven (Judith) Alcalá, Salvador (Lizbeth) Alcalá, Abigail (Joseph) Broderick, and Alejandro Alcalá. He is also survived by his great-grandchildren, Steven, Alek, Daniel, Salvador, Arianna, Adrian, Joseph, Jaylene, Angelica, and Adelynn. He will be truly missed by his many relatives and friends. A Visitation will be held from 6:00 – 9:00 PM with a Rosary at 7:00 PM, Thursday, January 28, 2016 at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 East Indian School Rd. Phoenix, AZ 85018. Funeral Mass will be held Friday, January 29, 2016 at 10:00 AM at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 909 S. First Ave Phoenix, AZ. 85003. Interment will follow at St. Francis Cemetery, 2033 N 48th St. Phoenix, AZ 85008.
