Robert Gary Guelker

Gary was born in Los Angeles on July 16, 1937 and passed away on December 9, 2016. Gary is survived by his wife, Suzie, daughters, Kirsten (Peter) Leiby, Alison, 5 Grandchildren and his beloved dog, Jack. He is preceded in death by his son, Derek. Gary graduated from ASU and received his MBA from UCLA. He had a very interesting life, never afraid to try a new adventure. His many career highlights included mechanical engineering, selling missiles to the Pentagon, building restaurants, schools, homes, owning restaurants and commercial appraising. In his free time you would find him with a book in hand and a dog by his side. His greatest love was his family. Gary had a kind heart and a happy easy going spirit. He had a spring in his step and a sparkle in his eye. Gary’s kind and gentle nature will be greatly missed by all who loved him. There will be a Celebration of Life for Gary on Sunday, December 18, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home. 4800 E. Indian School Road, Phoenix.
