78, passed away at home on August 12, 2014 surrounded by her loving family. Lillian was born on January 19, 1936 in Phoenix, Arizona to Erasmo and Delphina Corrales. She was the eldest of three children including sister, Sylvia Foley, and brother, Dennis Corrales.
Lillian loved to dance and grew up to be a beauty queen, winning many local pageants in the mid-1950’s. Among her many titles were Miss Firecracker, Miss Copper, Melon Queen, and Queen of the Corp of Cadets.
Lillian graduated from West Phoenix High School in the class of 1954. She had five children, Ralph Fierros, III, Tammy Pike (Dave), Stephanie Jazzar (Abdul), Melanie Lutz (Ben), and Mark Fierros (Beth). Lillian was a tennis coordinator at the Scottsdale Hilton and John Gardiner’s Tennis Ranch. She attained her certification to teach tennis professionally at Hilton Head, South Carolina and worked at the Camelback Inn. Lillian continued to play tennis well into her 60’s.
Lillian’s interests included spending time with family, movies, reading and playing fast track with friends. Lillian loved to travel and lived with her daughter’s family in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia for a time and enjoyed summers in Pinetop.
Lillian was cherished by her family and was affectionately called “Mom” by all. She is survived by her children and nine grandchildren, Ream, Rashad, Amanee, Layth and Jad Jazzar, Taylor Pike, Chase Pruitt, and Landen and Channing Lutz.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00am, Monday, August 18, 2014 at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Road, Phoenix.
