On January 30th, 2018, God called Tina home after a yearlong courageous battle with cancer. She was 52 years old. Tina was born on February 17, 1965, in El Paso, Texas, but soon found her true home in Phoenix, Arizona where she grew up and spent the rest of her life. Tina graduated from Maryvale High School and Arizona State University. She was also a Certified Public Accountant. Everyone who knew Tina remembers her infectious smile, her open heart, her fierce faith and wonderful laugh. She was and still is an inspiration to many as she fought an insidious cancer with the utmost grace and dignity. Tina is survived by her two children Peyton and Tanner, their father Manny and his partner Genny, her sister Carlane, her mother Betty Lou, her nieces Tara, Sarah, Andrea and Heather, her nephew David, and finally her partner Mike. Her family is asking that, in lieu of flowers, please make a contribution to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (pancan.org) or the American Cancer Society. Visitation will take place on Thursday, February 1, 2018 from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Rd., in Phoenix. A Memorial Service for her will take place on Friday, February 2nd, at Brophy Chapel at 4:15 P.M., at 4701 N. Central Ave, Phoenix, AZ. A reception will follow at Saint Francis Xavier at the same address.
