Robert Ernest Heidemann, age 73, of Phoenix, Arizona passed away peacefully at home on August 2, 2022. Bob (a.k.a. Mr. Charisma) was born in Big Rapids, Michigan and moved to Phoenix in 1958 with his parents Lee and Hazel (Leona) and his older brother John Heidemann. He was sad to leave behind his big brother Bill Kissner, who stayed in Michigan with his family.
Bob attended St. Agnes Elementary School and St. Mary’s High School in Phoenix and Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff.
Bob was a true jack of all trades and master of none. He enjoyed professions where he was able to meet new people, he loved the food service industry the most. He had a keen sense of adventure demonstrated by his time gold mining in the Colorado Rocky Mountains. He enjoyed the dynamite part of mining more than finding new veins of gold. Surprisingly, his hearing was better than most of us.
Bob Heidemann worked for Pizza Hut for the last 15 years because he loved meeting new people it was the perfect job for his personality. He was sad to retire two years ago when his illness progressed.
Bob is survived by his family members: his nephews, Carl Kissner, Scott Kissner and Jonathan Heidemann, his nieces, Lisa Kissner Judy Heidemann, and one great-niece, Allison Harmon, his sister-in-law Margaret Kissner and his longtime girlfriend (25 years) Marla (Powell) McKitrick.
