Alfred Guerra Hernandez

Alfred G. Hernandez, 85, a father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather, son, cousin and friend to all, made his transition to our Heavenly Father on April 6, 2016. Alfred was born on April 9, 1930 in Hayden, AZ. Alfred devoted his life to his family, friends and the Catholic Church. Alfred’s extraordinary talents included gardening and cooking. Alfred leaves behind countless memories for all of us to share. He is now in heaven with his loving wife Annie Salas Hernandez, his father Alfred D. Hernandez, mother Mary G. Hernandez, brother Oscar and daughter-in-law Melinda Hernandez and son-in-law Jesus M. Cano.   He is survived by sisters: Millie Bracamonte (Henry), Mary Ann Ballesteros (Ted) and Chris Humphrey (John), and brother Randy Hernandez (Magdalena), children Gilbert Hernandez (Terry), Yolanda Morales (Esteban), Alfredo (Rach) Hernandez III, Anna Marie (Dee Dee) Cota~ (Joe Angel), Mark Steven Hernandez, Caroline Cano and Gabriel Hernandez (Lisa), 16 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends at McDowell Senior Center and the St. Agnes Roman Catholic Parish community.

Alfred was our driving force who motivated his family to be the best they could be. We will miss our “Daddy” and “Tata”.

Thank you to Hospice of the Valley for the loving care of our father. Alfred’s celebration of life will be held at St. Agnes Parish Church located at 1954 N. 24th St., Phoenix, AZ 85008 ~ on Tuesday April 12, 2016. Viewing from 9:30 am to 10:30 am, Rosary from 10:30 am to 11:00 am ~ Funeral Mass at 11:00 am and the interment at St. Francis Cemetery 2033 N. 48th St. Phoenix, AZ
