Manuel B. Hernandez

97, of Phoenix, passed away peacefully on March 7, 2017. Manuel was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend to many. He is survived by his daughters Gloria and Linda (Azlin), sons Ron and Ed, 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Manuel is preceded in death by his brothers Pete and Charles, sisters Armida and Angela. Manuel was raised in St. Joseph’s Orphanage in Tucson, AZ. He graduated from Mesa High School in 1936 and proudly served our country during WWII in the South Pacific. As a proud Arizonan, Manuel raised his family in Phoenix and was a proud Sun Devil football fan and supporter. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M., Friday, March 10, 2017 at St. Theresa Catholic Parish, 5045 E. Thomas Road, Phoenix. Burial will follow at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery.
