Maria De Jesus Hernandez

Maria De Jesús Hernandez, 72, of Phoenix, Arizona passed away peacefully on October 1, 2019.

Maria was born in Matamoros, Tamaulipas Mexico to Rosalio and Paula (Granados) Ramirez. They first came to the state of Arizona 48 years ago. She was blessed with a marriage of 48 years to Rafael Hernandez, who passed away in 2012. In passing, she is survived by daughters; Lydia Yepiz, Sylvia Alanis, Petra Hernandez, Lourdes Hernandez, and son Carlos Hernandez. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. Maria worked for AJ’s Fine Foods for 15 years until she retired 4 years ago. She loved being at home, taking care of her garden, and caring for her birds. A Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 3, 2019 from 6 PM to 8 PM at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 East Indian School Road, Phoenix. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, October 4, 2019 at 10 AM at Iglesia Episopal de San Pablo, 2801 North 31st Street Phoenix.
