Kathy Sue Hoover

Kathy Sue Hoover passed away peacefully June 12, 2019 at Banner University Hospital at the age of 61. Kathy was born in Oklahoma and raised in Wittman but spent much of her adult life in Phoenix. Although she struggled with disabilities all her life, she was an inspiration to everyone who knew her. Kathy was one of those truly special people who remind us that our circumstances don’t define our spirit.

She was preceded in death by Jack, her husband of 18 years and best friend. She lived the last years of her life independently at Westward Ho with her beloved cat Pearl. She was an enthusiastic parishioner of Saint Mary’s Basilica and participant in St. Vincent de Paul and 40 Days for Life activities. She loved to paint and she left her friends her vibrant artwork.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Friday, July 12, 2019 at 10:00 A.M. at Saint Mary’s Basilica, 231 N. 3rd Street in Phoenix.  She will be buried beside Jack at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N. Cave Creek Road, in Phoenix.
