William Lewis Jackson, 81, born in Yalobusha County, Mississippi passed away on August 16, 2021. He passed away peacefully surrounded by his family after suffering multiple age related strokes. William graduated from Mississippi State University with a degree in mathematics and went on to become an engineer in the aerospace industry. He eventually retired in 2017 from Honeywell after working there for over 30 years. In his spare time he loved walking/hiking outdoors, spending time with his grandson and reading. He was a long-time member of the congregation at Paradise Valley United Methodist Church, and an active member of the Scottsdale Sea & Ski Club. William was a kind and gentle man with a large number of friends, he will always be remembered for his friendly handshake and warm smile. He is survived by his two sisters, Lynn Gilbert and Ann Roberts, as well as his son and grandson, Kevin and Ryan Jackson.
Funeral services will be held in both Arizona and Mississippi;
Arizona services will be held Saturday, August 21, 2021, at 10:00 am, in the chapel at Paradise Valley United Methodist Church, 4455 E. Lincoln Dr., Paradise Valley, Arizona, 85253.
Mississippi services will be held Saturday, August 28, 2021, at 11:00am at Rapers Chapel, 52 County Road 291, Pine Valley, Mississippi, 38965.
