Janet Rose

Janet Rose, 83 of Phoenix, AZ passed away October 25th, 2024 at home surrounded by her family. Janet was born November 9th, 1940 in Sioux City, Iowa to Hattie and Roy Westman. She graduated from Central High School in 1958 and worked at the Woodbury County Courthouse in Sioux City before moving to California where she married Steven Rose in 1973. To this union was born one son, Kirke Rose. In 1988 they made their home in Paradise Valley, AZ. 

Jan loved traveling the world with Steven and she was a gracious hostess who entertained frequently, especially at their annual New Year’s Day party watching the Rose Bowl. She never forgot she was an Iowa girl making frequent trips back to Sioux City to visit family.

Jan was proceeded in death by her parents, her husband, siblings Alice Hedberg, Marge LaRocca, Maxine Fachman, Robert Westman, and Ruth Ann Richey. She is survived by her son Kirke Rose of Phoenix and stepdaughter Katie Parigian (Allan) of Ojai, California along with many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly. 

A celebration of life will be held at a later date in Scottsdale.
