Janice Catherine Koger, 70 years of Phoenix died on February 28, 2024 of a sudden illness at Scottsdale-Osborn Hospital in Scottsdale.
Janice originally came to Phoenix in 1960 when her family relocated from Omaha, NE. She was a graduate of Gerard High School Class of 1970, where she developed a life-long fascination with movie & theater musicals. She graduated from the University of Arizona in 1974 with a theater degree. Janice went on to have a career in both theater management at Harkins Theaters and later in banking at Chase Bank, from which she retired in 2018. She was devoted to her three cats, and she was an accomplished Arts & Crafts hobbyist, specializing in dolls and other ceramic objects.
Janice was preceded in death by her parents, Gerald T. & Jo Ann Koger, and her ashes will be interred alongside her parents at St. Francis Cemetery in Phoenix. She is survived by 3 brothers: Gerald, Jeffrey, and Jonathan; nieces & nephews Ebony, Galen, Kyla, Robin, Shannan, Michael & Kevin; grandnieces & nephews Maebh & Margo and Lana & Anthany; and lifelong friend & caregiver, Esther Hunter and her sons Nigel & Liam.
A memorial service will be held at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home at 4800 E. Indian School Road in Phoenix on Saturday, March 23rd at 11 A.M., followed by a reception.
